How is Nordic Folk positioned in the international markets? In which markets are we more successful?

Join us for a panel where we are going to discuss best practices, tips and funding possibilities to export your project or your company internationally.

In the panel:

  • Laia Canals Kverneland works as constituted as Tempi's General Manager and formerly International Projects Manager, handling the export activities of Danish Roots Music artists and industry, as well as being an advisor in internationalization strategies for artists, companies and governments.

    Internationalization as a core, diversity as a motto, Laia’s work is behind projects all over the world, from Nordic partnerships to European projects, North America, South America, Australian and Asian initiatives. Aside, Laia participates in several Boards of Directors as The Nordic Folk Council, Nordic Folk Alliance and Lux Boreal Festival.

  • Christiana Sudano Bergamini worked in Label Relations at Universal Music Group (Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Maddie & Tae, Ghost, Sabrina Carpenter) to Product Managing legendary releases (Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, R.E.M) at Concord Music, she has seen many technological changes within her ten years in the industry.

    Christiana has recently joined forces with Sorum Management (HARV, Felisha and Fallon King, etc). She enjoys blending new technology with tangible products to create innovative marketing strategies. She is also a champion for young women in the music industry and believes the future of the industry will depend on the integration of women in senior positions, being the founder of @dolessmgmt and @dolessproductions

  • Elisabeth Vik is a performer and composer, who has worked extensively with traditional music on four continents and in a multitude of different musical settings as a soloist, bandleader and ensemble performer. She has a masters degree in Global Music from The Royal Academy of Music in Denmark, and The Sibelius academy in Finland, and is passionate about the interdependency of tradition and innovation on the Nordic Folk scene.

    As leader of the experimental nordic folk music band VÍÍK, Elisabeth Vik has succeeded in breaking some of the boundaries previously seen for traditional nordic music, and provides a useful case for a talk on the future possibilities for Nordic Folk in international markets.
