What sources of income are there for musicians and music professionals beyond life touring?
In this panel discussion we are going to discuss how to remove the eggs from one basket and discover new creative ways to engage musicians professionally. In recent years we have witnessed an increased interest from the health care system to test the benefits of life music and arts in general, in treatments of certain pathologies.
Creative Denmark will give us an overview on what options and examples are out there for musicians who want to take adventurous paths in their income sources.

In the spotlight Fod på Gulv, the first major methodological project that tests and evaluates the effect of adapted modern folk dance for vulnerable young people and adults with mental disorders.

Internationalization as a core, diversity as a motto, Laia’s work is behind projects all over the world, from Nordic partnerships to European projects, North America, South America, Australian and Asian initiatives. Aside, Laia participates in several Boards of Directors as The Nordic Folk Council, Nordic Folk Alliance and Lux Boreal Festival.

Cand.Mag. in Musicology 1992. Owner of Artbizz since 2016. Founder and Manager of Artlab, a competence center for musicians and other professional artists 1998-2016. A main focus on stimulating artists' career possibilities and cross-sectoral artistic partnerships since 2000 and Culture and Health since 2016.

Lukas comes from a background from Management of Creative Processes at Copenhagen Business School, and is a Project Manager and industry responsible for music at Creative Denmark.

Niels has a mixed background and has worked both academically and in many different creative industries. However, the focus has always been on sound and music. He primarily works as a sound designer and has created sound design and music for a large number of computer games and products.
Almost 20 years ago, he started the record label Jenka Music, which has released artists such as Analogik, Band Ane and Je m'appelle Mads, among others. For many years, he has performed live with Onkel Reje.
On the academic front, he has a PhD from Aalborg University in Copenhagen within sound for computer games. He is also affiliated as an external teacher at Sonic College in Kolding, where he is responsible for the subject game audio. in 2019, together with Asger Strandby, he founded the gaming company Floppy Club. Floppy Club primarily focuses on developing games where music and sound play a special role. At the end of February 2023, their first major game "Rytmos" was released. Rytmos is a tribute to the world's music, and through the game you have to solve puzzles while making music. The game also serves as inspiration and you learn a lot about genres, instruments and music history from all over the world while playing it.
The game has been critically acclaimed in places like Eurogamer and other major international gaming magazines.
