Dreamers’ circus announced to play at the unesco world heritage Roskilde cathefral as part of Nordic Folk Alliance

Nordic folk music trio Dreamers’ Circus take over Roskilde Cathedral’s majestic space for a bespoke one-off occasion featuring guest performers Teitur and Pernille Rosendahl.

Consider this an invitation to a musical journey embarking from Dreamers’ Circus’ uniquely styled nordic folk music universe with their carefully curated guest performers further expanding the boundaries of traditional nordic folk.

Dreamers’ Circus perpetually seek out new challenges for themselves and their audience, always drawing on their solid foundations within traditional and roots music to present a genre-expanding fusion mixing the sensitivity of folk music, the improvisation of jazz, and the complexity of classical music, expressed through a prism of popular musical influences. The result is a musical output that is decidedly modern as well as rhythmically and melodically captivating.

The trio was formed after a live jam session in Copenhagen 15 years ago, and the current sound is firmly based on skilful craftsmanship and passionate musical sensibility across a range of instruments including violin, accordion, piano, and cittern.

The guests this evening - Teitur and Pernille Rosendahl - are both artistic stalwarts in their own right on the Danish music scene. Teitur and Pernille Rosendahl have each previously partnered with Dreamers’ Circus with great success and the collaboration is sure to captivate this evening’s audience. To assure no artistic stone is left unturned, the Gentlemen of the Roskilde Cathedral's Boys' Choir will also feature creating a truly unique and multifaceted experience for performers and audience alike.

The evening is organized by Tempi - Roots Music Denmark in collaboration with Roskilde Festival and marks the end of Denmark's hostship of the Nordic Folk Alliance folk music conference in 2023 and 2024.

In addition to this concert you will also be able to catch a lot of other great Nordic folk artists in Roskilde across the week. Go to www.nordicfolkalliance.com for more information.
